Warranty Automotive Service Corporation (WASCOR) came about as the result of a highly successfully branding and marketing campaign by one of the country’s largest single point Toyota dealerships.
The dealership’s Operator came up with the concept of a Lifetime Limited Powertrain Warranty (LLPW) to help offset the success related to the announcement of Hyundai’s 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty in his market. If 10 years/100,000 miles sounded impressive, just imagine the impact of “unlimited time/unlimited miles” powertrain coverage from a consumer’s perspective!
Titan Dealer Services (TDS) took this uniquely creative idea and developed it into a regulatory compliant and fully insured nationwide Lifetime Warranty customized turnkey for select dealers.
TDS took this directive and through its strategic alliance with the resources of Great American Insurance Company (GAIC), and its automotive related subsidiaries, brought the LLPW program to market through WASCOR. The coverage simply mirrors the manufacturers’ powertrain warranty in addition to items like fuel pumps, and seals and gaskets. If the manufacturer covers it per the owner’s manual, so do we. There is no fine print or hidden catches to this program, period!
WASCOR’s founding members and management team is made up of a group of highly successful ex-retail automotive professionals who also have extensive experience in the F&I aftermarket arena (see management team section). WASCOR’s role is to market and assist in the day to day administration of the LLPW program in conjunction with GAIC. WASCOR oversees and coordinates new client acquisitions, customized dealership point of purchase materials, collaborative efforts with clients’ advertising agencies and web design providers, along with responsibility for in dealership kick offs, sales training and ongoing support and development associated with the LLPW program. WASCOR also manages the market exclusivity aspect of the program to ensure this powerful message is not diluted in your PMA or ADI.
